Luminosity end the first day at ELEAGUE with two more wins, this time over Liquid (Dust2 16-6, Cobblestone 16-14).

The third and last match of day one of the first week in Atlanta was between Luminosity and Liquid and it started out on Dust2, where the latter team already lost earlier to Cloud9.

Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski and Eric "⁠adreN⁠" Hoag kicked it off with doubles on the CT pistol, but their five-SMG buy in the following round backfired and gave Luminosity a string of rounds. It wasn't until 8-1 for the Brazilians before Liquid won their second round in the half due to a 2v2 afterplant win on the A bombsite.

Day one in Atlanta came to a close with Luminosity on top

It wasn't quite enough to turn the match on its head however, Luminosity broke their opponents' economy afterwards and got to 11 rounds before Liquid closed out the half with two rounds in a row.

Nearly all hope for the Americans was lost when the pistol round went into the hands of the favorites, who got another point on the board with a 16-6 win on map one.

Cobblestone followed with Liquid sending a strong message with a quick 6-1 lead as Terrorists, as they won the pistol round and the second gunround, breaking Luminosity's economy.

Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David provided an important double to win his team their second round in the map, but the economy break came into play again. That time around Luminosity tried to forcebuy after just one eco, but they couldn't make it work, while Liquid went on to pick up three out of four rounds for a 12-3 half.

A pistol round going the other way pushed it to 12-5, and Liquid were the ones on bad economy despite winning an eco for 13-5. Losing an unfavorable situation put the score up to 13-10 in quite one-sided rounds before the American squad got to 14.

However, Liquid lost a 4v2, making them remember multiple thrown opportunities at MLG Columbus and ESL Pro League Finals, and the Brazilians came back with six rounds in a row.
